Re: NARA
In Response To: Re: NARA ()

Hello Lee, Yes its Henry that I am still looking for. I am so sorry that I have not been able to reply sooner. My computer's hard drive crashed and so only once in a great while do I get to go onto Rodger's computer. Henry's (or Harry, since he had both names listed in census records)is identified with a service number of 11865 and on one of them as 11895. Again I have his birth date being Aug. of 1854 in Virginia. I know that he had spent at least 12 years in the Navy according to the service pin that we have when he was onboard the U.S.S. Michigan/Wolverine. I had just gotten not long ago the death certificate from California John Lee's record, and it has listed his father as Harry and his mother as Ellen Scisson (how accurate her name is I don't know)http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ussmichigan/ this is a link that I have that goes to a group that I have created regarding the ship, if you were to go to it and look under "photos" you would see the image of the pin.

Tina
