I do belong to the Jefferson County mailing list and there is someone who does post from the newspapers from time to time, but I don't have this info. I have ordered some newspapers from Logan County for my Howard/Sowell/Douglas/Ward surnames but have not gotten to Jefferson yet.
I also belong to the Hudspeth mailing list, but you know they ain't talking about black Hudspeth's. (smile) I just lurk on the list and get info on the family.
I also have found several books on ebay regarding black history in Kansas.
I am willing to gather info just about anyway I can.
I hope one day to be able to post the info I have to Afrigeneas to help others.
