I almost fell off of my chair when you wrote that Elbert Thompson and family were living next to John Holloway in 1880. Elbert Thompson was my g-g-g-grandfather! I had never heard of William in relation to Elbert. I thought that maybe he was a distant relative in a different county, but did not have a clue that he could be even remotely connected to Elbert.

I am now going to launch into a more thorough investigation of how and if William was indeed related to Elbert.
