This is very interesting because I did discover the Wisdom's in White County. The person I am inquiring about was, ALBERT LEMUEL WISDOM , who resided in Bristol Tennessee,son of Mollie Martin. Ms. Martin was not married to the father of her child but later married a Martin. I do not know her maiden name. ALBERT WISDOM was said to have been half European or Native American.

I find it interesting that Mollie Martin gave her son his father's last name but I can not find who the father was. I don't know the birthdate of Albert but I know he was married in 1906. Which means he would have been born in the late 1800's.

Thus, I am trying to locate any slave owners with the surname Wisdom, in that area possibly to help me determine if she (Mollie) was a slave or a freewoman.
