Thanks for your response ET. I agree that there's only the human race. I found it interesting that the racial classifications varied so much from year-to-year, census taker-to-census taker. I also didn't know if these classifications could be used to further my genealogical research (ex: if a child has a different race, look for an earlier marriage etc.) ... or if I should merely disregard racial classifications entirely due to the circumstances.
