Hi - I am new to this fourm and am gathering information about my maternal grandfather whose family is from Hinds County Mississippi.

William Daniel Thomas, my grandfather was born September 2, 1893, died July 19, 1988 in Riverside, California. His parents names were: George and Emma (Willis) Thomas. Siblings (all deceased) were: Annie, Oscar and Johnnie. My grandfather attended Springhill Baptist Church, (Raymond, MS)He received a Bachelor's degree from Jackson State College in mathematics.

He came to Riverside, California in March 1925 and was called to Pastor that same month after preaching a 10 day revival at Second Missionary Baptist Church. He pastored for over 60 years at this church. My grandfather received his Dr., Divinity from University of Redlands as well.
