I am looking for descendants of the JOHNSON family of Sandersville, Washington Co., GA.

My mother's step-father was WALTER JOHNSON, who was born in Sandersville, Washington Co., GA in 1896. He married my grandmother, VICTORIA MEADOWS PHILLIPS, in Cleveland, Ohio in 1926, when my mother was 2. Grandpa died in 1959.

Walter Johnson's father was WILLIAM JOHNSON. His mother died when he was very young and his step-mother was CHERRY ANN WILLIAMS JOHNSON.

I have heard that quite a few of the Johnsons moved to Detroit, MI.

Mom, who is now 83, told me that she used to go to Sandersville when she was a child.
