Amanda Phillips

I would like to know if anyone could help me find any information about a women named Amanda Phillips(Ferguson) that lived in Smith County Texas from 1866-1885. She is a ancestor on my mother's side of the family. Some information that I do have for her shows that she was married to a man named Abraham Phillps. The census shows they both came from Alabama, but I have no idea what county in Alabama. I know that she probably died right after the census was taken in 1880 because records show her husband Abe married a women named Vina or Melvina Grey in 1884. They later divorced, but I find no record of Amanda's death. I really would like to trace this line because a couple of months ago, I submitted my the results of my DNA test from National Geographic on the FamilyTree DNA webpage and I found three women who matched my DNA profile. One was from Spain and the other two came from Puerto Rico. This information sent me in a whole new direction. That is why I need to know more about the maternal side of the family because somewhere someone came from Puerto Rico. Any help with Amanda Phillips would be greatly appreciated.
