I am looking for living descendants of Charlotte SPEED, b. GA abt. 1810 > L.S. SPEED , b. GA 1828 > Olin SPEED, b. 1852. My ggrandfather, Olin/Olen SPEED, had a number of children, whose names were: Henry, Lawrence, Frederick Douglas, Wade, Bishop, Terrel, Joseph, Olen, Jennie, Carrie, Snow B, Louis, and 4 unknown. Although the family appears to have originaed in GA, post-slavery they lived primarily In Bullock Co., AL, from at least 1880 (they are in the Bullock Co., AL, census for that year) until at least the 1930s.

I have accummulated a fare amunt of basic information about the family that I am happy to share, but I have lost all contact with later generations of the family, the children of Olin SPEED and his wife, Salle LEONARD SPEED. I am looking to re-estabish a connection to SPEED cousins. I will be grateful for any suggestion from anyone who can help me find my living SPEEDs, especially those that derive from Bullock or Macon County, AL. Thanks.
