LIZA PINTER: SC, b. 1838
I just saw a copy today of the DC for my GrGrGrandfather's youngest sister, Millie COLLIER. Thank the good Lord her mother's maiden name was there as well! Talk about Carolina Gold!
I first see my GrGrGrGrandmother as a widdow, Liza NORRIS in the 1880 Harrison County, TX Census at age 32 with four of her daughters, Mary, Dina, Susan and Millie. Also says she was born in SC as well as the father of her children, Buck Norris. The 1900 census says that Eliza is 62 years old, mother of 8, 5 still living in 1900 and gives her birth date as January, 1838.
I'm hoping that someone can help me find LIZA in some official documentation prior to her marriage to Buck Norris. I'm hoping to find the parents of LIZA or the Slaveowners of her. I know that LIZA was in Harrison County by 1860 as her son Marcus NORRIS was born there. Her oldest son Sonny was born in 1859 in South Carolina.
Desperate to find another sign of Eliza with her owners or somewhere in the Carolinas prior to marriage so that I can go one-more GENERATION back with my research.
Greatful for any help possible. Thank You
