Hiya Gail, I noticed the Clarks too. I don't know what kind of paper work is available for Prince William - tax records and such - but he could have received some money in a will or when freed like my great grandfather did in Loudoun. Edmonia Chinn (white) daughter of Landon Carter died in Prince William - she must have come to Price William with Chinn slaves, or former slaves. I'm glad this is beginning to look like a strong possible - I have always been told - when you can't find folks - get out a map and look in neighboring counties. With a farm and money he would have had a horse and wagon - increasing his chances of being able to travel longer distances. Denise
