Selma,i wonder if this is the same John Rapier who always pop up in the Freeman record when i,m looking for my ggrandfather John Napier,this Rapier was a DR.in Washington D.C. Rapier is supposed to be a varition of Napier and every City you named had Napier slaveholders. Tenn,Ala,and of course Vir.where there were many. This John Rapier i,m talking about is from Alabama.I may look for that book. Anna
