An interesting project, to say the least. I've traced my Ragland ancestors back to one Dabney Ragland, who actually lived in Halifax County, VA, just North of the NC border from Granville County, NC. During their lives, my Ragland ancestors moved back and forth between the two counties. At least one of my Raglands (Jacob, b. Granville County) married a Royster.
