Thanks so much Regina. No, I am not certain that Melissa is the only name John's wife used. When John's descendant, and my cousin, talked to his surviving neice, she knew John as "Thomas" and only when she checked her bible did she verify that yes, Thomas' full name was John Thomas. She also knew his sister Louisa (that we are still looking for) as Lulu. So they didn't always use the same name. Were any children listed with John T? I hate to trouble you, but could you send me a copy of the Chester County Census with John T. Stewart? AJStewart62@msn.com. I am going to look through my miscellaneous "Stewart" census copies.
