Trying to find out more about the Mevs family (for my cousin). The referenced pastor was his gr-grandfather who came to the US from Haiti. He was an AME Minister. Anyone familiar with the Mevs in the US or Haiti? I have tracked him to the passenger list in the late 1880s into New York. The family then went on to Indy, thru Arkansas and then Mississippi. Thanks.
