How would you summarize your research satisfaction as you analyze your results?
Since you live in Alabama I would suggest you consider a day trip and a visit to the Calhoun County [Anniston] Public Library. The staff and the volunteers in the "Alabama Room" are extremely willing and helpful. Linda and Tom have access to all record sets in Alabama.
I need help to find Grandmother Lanie Brand in the 1870 Census of Perry County Alabama. I do find her on the 1867 "Colored Population Schedule" as Head of Household
I would also like to get the correct spelling of her first name. I also have not been able to find a death certificate. I live in Alabama.
