ok, I found the Daisy Liggans you mentioned. He married Mary Norwood abt 1898. She is the daughter of James Norwood and Tabitha ("Bythia"). Elisha Norwood is her brother (married to Isabella / Hester Christopher 21 Mar 1903 Bartow Co, GA). I also have marriage records for two of her other brothers, but I haven't found hers yet.

It looks like Daisy Liggans continued to live in the Buncombe / Rockmart area until at least 1934. However, sometime between 1910 and 1920, Mary took the children and left Daisy. She moved to Chattanooga. On one census, she describes herself as widowed. But on her death certificate Nov 30 1932 in Chattanooga, her daughter Clara crossed out "single, married, widowed" and didn't fill in anything. She did put the husband's name as Daisy Liggons.
I believe Daisy and Mary had six children, one of whom died in infancy. Daley B, Clara D, Willie Elbert (the only son), Mamie Lee and Jessie May.
Mamie married Frank Henry Sims on 24 Jan 1926 in Chattanooga. She died April 30, 1928 in Chattanooga from a stab wound to the neck, which the coroner ruled as a homicide. It looks like Daisy was the informer on that death record (D. Liggans).

Clara Liggans died Oct 24, 1934 in Chattanooga. She was single. Her father was the informant (still living in Rockmart) and the death certificate very clearly states the parents as Daisy Liggans and Mary Norwood.

I think Willie married Nora M McGregor, daughter of Hardy McGregor and Savanah. Her name appear as Estelle on the 1910 census when she was an infant, but I think it's her. They had two children, Juanita b. about Dec 1927 and William D, b 3 Jul 1930 Rockmart, died 4 Jan 2004 in Toledo. Willie E died 5 May 1957 in Polk Co. However, I've noticed a couple of family trees that dead-end with Willie, so I'm guessing his parents names are not on the death certificate.

I haven't found anything yet on Daley or Jessie.

In the process of looking for Liggans, I did find the marriage certificate for Joseph Christopher and Mary McGregor. Date is 2 Jan 1889 in Polk Co, GA.

Hardy McGregor had a sister Lounerva J. His parents were Hiram McGregor b 1844 SC and Eliza b 1850 in GA. Does that fit with your records?
I also found the marriage license for Jackson ("Jack") McGregor and Caroline ("Callie") McGinnis: 19 Dec 1868 in Polk Co, GA. (see image below)
