Wow, Cathy!

I am very pleased to hear from you. I have
connected with descendants of one of my Great Grandmother's sisters, but I dared not imagine that I might be able to contact descendants of one of her brothers. This is
exciting!!!!!! Other than her name, I know nothing of Anna Belle Christopher.

I have looked at the William Christopher family history and I have made several of the same conclusions that you have. I believe that
Marinda Chandler was his first slave. I think she and Nathan came together around the same time that William married Susan Hardy daughter in the 1840's. In spite of the claims of the Christopher family, I doubt that Nathan was freed before 1865.
On which 1866 census did you find Nathan?

I had hoped that the present-day Christopher family could have helped with some of this information, but they do not have it. I have not looked for slave sales, but I am assuming that we would have to search deeds and wills
in Coweta County. I had planned to contact the Newnan Coweta Historical Society and the Coweta County Genealogocial Society for guidance.

I would like to work with you on this research, how can I help?
