My great grandfathers name was Ephilia/Efilia (not sure of the correct spelling), but he later changed it to James Caldwell at the age of 14. His fathers name was James Caldwell and also had a relative by the name of Herbert. I am also researching the Caldwell name as well.

I was initially looking for my GG grandmother. I found a record in the Southern Christian Advocate that stated a man named Harvey Norwood was looking for a cousin named Maggie Oliver. I am looking for info on Maggie's mother Martha. A death certificate for Maggie stated that her mother's maiden name was Martha Johnson. Reading census records for 1870 and 1880 in Tuscaloosa, AL. I found that there was a Matilda Norwood, formerly Matilda Johnson, who had a son Harvey. Matilda's neighbor was a Henderson Johnson and he from the same state as Matilda. Birth years for both could make them siblings and they lived with ancestors of mine. If I could find a tree that listed his siblings for parents would be helpful.
