Renaming of Chillin

How many of you pull out your hair looking through the census, looking at documents, looking at community records then start seeing names like...William, Willie, Willie Mae,Lee, Less, Lester, Smith, Smitty, Lucy, Lucindy, Lucinda,Cinda, Adam, Adams, Johnny, Johnnie Mae, Jessie, Jesse Mae, Henry, John Henry, Liza, Lisa and on and on in your family. I want to Tell you I don't know who is who and the birth dates don't mean nothing because half the time they are made up. Folks don't know when they were born. There were no accurate birth certificates and families wanted to honor a ancestor. PLEASE PLEASE if you do this--give your child their own name also in there so they will be recognized as a individual in future records. :( This Brick Wall is High enough.
