Re: Tazwell Baskerville
In Response To: Re: Tazwell Baskerville ()
Denise, I don't know if you remember me, but you've been very helpful to me in the past. So I'd just like to ask your opinion: The 1870 census for Flat Creek, Mecklenburg Co., VA shows a Tazwell Baskerville who is married to Augusta. The 1880 census for Boydton, Mecklenburg Co, VA shows a Tazwell Baskerville married to Clara. Both censuses show 3 children, Alice, Floyd, and Miles and their ages are within +- 4 years in each census. My grandfather is Robert Floyd Baskerville, who I'm sure is the child listed as Floyd, because his obituary (he later moved to Baltimore) says that his father was named Tazwell Baskerville and he was from VA. I have a strong feeling that these are the same person. I have run across very few Tazwells in my research. From what I've presented to you, in your opinion, do you think that the Tazwell in both censuses is the same person and was probably married twice?
