Re: Writing Letter to Possible Cousin

Hello,

3 months seems like a long time for no response, even for a national public figure.Perhaps the original letter was misplaced and/or lost. I would write a follow-up in addition to writing to her sister.

Introductory genealogy letters can be tricky and each will have it's own "particulars". A nice website, with examples and suggestions, is found @ http://www.genealogyone-on-one.com/page/page/1119685.htm

Good Luck and Best Wishes, .........and patience ;)

I have written a letter to someone who I think may be related and am still waiting on a response. She is very busy and a well known national public figure and so far the letter has not been 'returned to sender' so I know that she probably has it. I decided to write to her sister too, as I have been waiting about 3 months for a response. Is it premature to write to the sister? What should or shouldn't I put in the letter?
The information that I gathered that they maybe related is what I got from my mother...she might be my greatuncle's granddaughter.
