I have the information on the FPC's. The Portee's I'm looking for are native to South Carolina. I haven't heard anything about Portee's migrating from Louisiana. From my knowledge, they migrated from VA to NC then to SC and some migrated up north on the Trail of Tears. I know Portee's are a huge clan. I haven't been able to connect my lineage to the other Portee's in the area. I've hit a brick wall with that one. I haven't been able to locate a death certificate for my G.G. Grandfather to at least see who his parents might have been (praying that they're listed).
