I also noted that there were two free black males on the 1830 census: Gideon Grantam, in Goochland, Virginia, aged 24-30 with 3 in his household and Phillip Grantam, in Goochland, Virginia, aged 55-100, with 9 in his household. These 2 gentlemen may not be related to Danny, but he should note the spelling of the surname Grantam when searching for his ancestors.
