I have been researching all of those names as well as others in and around Altavista. My personal surnames are Walker, Dearing, and Lynch. But Farmers, Moores, many of those you mentioned are there as well. I am doing a project with Mr Frank Murray to connect all or as many of the descendents of the slaves and workers of the Avoca Plantation. I have a family tree started on Ancestry called the AA Dearing and Lynch's of Avoca. It is an open family tree so anyone can and hopefully will look and send me comments/corrections and suggestions.
