Warren appears to have been a popular name in the white and black Dobbins families. My research has tentatively identified a Warren Dobbins born 1871 in Mashulaville, Noxubee County, MS, as my grandma Bertha Dobbins' father. For a little while, I confused another Warren Dobbins born in MS, migrated to Chicago, IL, as her father with another wife and daughter. However, backtracing ruled him out.
