Possible Breakthrough on DOBBINS Line
Hi, Afrigeneas Family:
I may be jumping the gun on this but a couple of days ago I connected with another researcher on Ancestry.com who referred to one of my father's brothers as her favorite uncle. That was my Uncle Rufus Walker, born in Mississippi and died in Chicago. This "new" cousin also lives in Chicago. She and I have had only one phone conversation but she was able to share enough info with me to convince me that she has MUCH more to share and like the Pointer Sister's song, "I'm so excited"! She says she has pictures. This is soooo cool.
She also shared with me that there is another relative in her 90's who has compiled a lot of family history that may include a familial connection to people named DOBBINS. That's my paternal grandmother's last name and, oh, I just can't wait. I just can't wait. To finally after all these years of research and waiting to maybe talk to someone who remembers or knew my DOBBINS folks? Double cool. I will post updates.
