PINCKSTONto Pinckney to Pinkney oh My!
Because I am a member of the SC genealogy Genealogy society I receive the newsletters. I recieved a newsletter with a new excerpt of a census for Johnston Sc 1884 census in 3 different newsletters of the Quill. In each one I found something NEW about my Vance surnames that was NOT in the 1880 or 1900 census. But this is something I thought I knew. With the help of a Afrigeneas Angel many years ago I was helped to find Adelaide Vance in the household with her daughter Harriet Vance and Henry Pinkney but it was under Pinckston. I listed everything as seen in my RootsMagic program for the family.
I know there are many of you that know the answers, I am getting the clouds out of my head at this time. I am now looking at all of the paper work I have in my files, military records, death certificates, redoing, redocumitting, adding more information to each names. I would not have this information if not for the fantastic editor TONYA BROWDER of the Edgefield SC Genealogy Society who constantly puts in new information about the happenings of information donated. I would not know about this new information about family if I was not a member of this Afro Amer and SC Genealogy Society that cators to all ethnic group. One other thing--never never give or write all of your information. There are people out here who will steal your information for their own. I always hold back. I figure if it's in the records go for it. But if I and I only know it--then you stole it and I can prove it. EACH ONE TEACH SOMEONE.
