Trying to break down a brick wall. My cousin email me with this information on our grandfather. His slave name was Fortner and he changed it to Robinson. He had a brother named Wyle Brown who is married and has children, no names mentioned. Wyle lives in Portmouth Ohio and he and his brother worked at a nail mill on the Mongahalia River in Ohio. His mother's name is unknown as is his father, but one family lore has it as Mary Brown or Hill. His father was Native American, but my father did a DNA and it shows over 57% European and only 4-5% Asian, which may be the Native American. Another part of the story is that he has a niece or sister name Frankie who lived in Charleston WVA. Can't figure out what is true as nothing has really come up. I did find a Mary Brown with a son Willie and a son/grandson Charles Robinson. The county is off but don;t know.
