He died in 1965 and whatever papers of his have been long gone. My grandmother passed in 1981 and my cousin took all the papers, pictures etc and is suspicious/paranoid about what I am looking for and why. I doubt if he had any kind of insurance. He was buried in the old church cemetery in the woods and did have a headstone so someone paid. I do have the information for the funeral home and will call them tomorrow to see who paid his bill etc. I am also going to try the driving license but because it is so long ago and Richland County, SC is not famous for their record keeping especially when it comes to black people. My cousin thought she had seen something with a number but hasnt been able to find anything.
