I have quietly set back and waited to see what other comments will come from my initial posting. The sins of the parents will be revisited on the children..One of you said the mother should back way off and let the child step forward to find the 'other' family. I truly agree. You never know what was said or went on between her parents. Love/lust who knows. But whatever caused the disconnection from the parent be it male or female will only be heeled by the child being willing to step forward and not live in the life that parent lived. There is a new future with new family found. Many, many children, resent a parent because of only hearing one side of the story. Many parents should have never--in my opinion have been allowed to father or mother any children. But that's the past. We move forward now in a different world, with a different attitude. It will all be heeled in time, but not by anyone but the people who are willing to say--welcome.
