I am currently sending information about people she has known(aunts/uncles) , I believe Zebulan Vance, the govener of NC, was the parent of many of my gggrandma's children. This may give me the reason why my ggrandma Lucy Vance, left SC and why family in my group knew nothing about her family in SC or NC. I know my grgrandma had 1 bi-racial son named Ed Vance. Family story said he was by her x-slaveholder. II found the picture of him and he sort of looks intimidating. He also had a brother. Info says Zebulan had many slaves. New cousin said her ggrandnpa Elbert Vance was described by her grandmother as having Red hair like a Irishman and freckles. I need a color picture of this man.
