Value in reposting Surnames
Have you had no luck with finding lost family. DON'T GIVE UP...NEVER. Go back and change the subject line in your postings on every site that is on the internet. Make sure your email address is correct and updated. Give information for deceased members that can be seen on the census. Hold back on ALL information that can not be found on the internet, so you can compare what someone else may give to you. Remember there are people out there who know a lot more about stealing your identity and other familiy members info, by what is out here. Never, Never post the livings info on the internet are give it out. WHY am I saying this..Afrigeneas has been good to me. I have had lost cousins stumble on the site, get curious and look for their surname. They find me. BUT you have to bring something very positive to the table in order for me to go forward. I consider myself a CSI specialist for my surnames. Too many folks can share similar family history from the same place. Too many babies were born into outside relationships. Too many people WANT to be part of your family without it being legal. It is happening right now in my family. This one lady had a child by an uncle. She waited over 20 years for this man to leave his family. Had a daughter by him. He never left his wife. He died and this lady still tried to be a 'wife' of sorts even at his funeral. His wife was still living. DISRESPECT. This lady almost got hurt at the funeral by his blood relatives. She brought pictures to the funeral of the daughter he had. DISREPECT. 20 years of her life wasted, waiting on him. After all of this boasting and showing off, the daughter she wanted to be accepted, is now rejected, just because of her actions--at the funeral. And if he had left, she still would not have been accepted by family. So sometimes people make up a life gleaned from another family. Children suffer from this. Repost every 6 month's to a year. Sometimes it takes 2 years for a posting of mine to be seen. PATIENCE. You just never know when there will be a positive hit.
