Good day everyone. I am researching African American Satterthwaites in Camden, NJ and in Bath, Beaufort, NC. My ancestor is Solomon Satterthwaite and I have found who I THINK is him on the NC 1870 census, NC 1880 census, NJ 1900 census and the NJ 1910 census but on the two NC census' have been unable to find his family. It just simply says that he was a servant to a Black family. No one is notated as his mother or father.

I have him as being born in November 1958 in Bath, Beaufort, NC. I am not sure if I have his death date correct. I have it as Oct 22, 1938.

I am hoping to find someone who can help me connect the pieces here.
