1930 U.S. Census 'Prisoners'
I am researching my paternal family line and stumbled upon a record in the 1930 U.S. Census. Has anyone seen the term 'prisoner' used in Census Records and if so what does that mean? Using HeritageQuest, I found a possible relative GRUNDY listed among 21 other male 'Prisoners' and CURTWRIGHT, Nat was head of household. How should one interpret this information?
