Hi there -- the Brum Martin who died in 1915 was Brown Martin, son of Calvin Martin and Ruth Martin Golding (she was previously married to Harden Golding, and may have used Rachel in later years). Brown married Minta Welch on 12 September 1889. They had three children, two of whom survived, including Billy J. Martin, who was living with them in Sauratown in June 1900. Ruth was the daughter of Minerva Welch and perhaps William Welch, who was her next-door neighbor then (also note that Brown was buried in the Welch graveyard).
I imagine there was some parental link with the elder Brum, who probably died before 1880, when his widow Sarah was living with their daughter in Mt Airy. -- Gordon
