They did not know because they are in Guilford county which has only one Primitive Baptist church on Tate st at uncg. In Rockingham, Caswell and Stokes county we are everywhere, Black and white churches. The Martins in lower VA are in Martinsville, Horse Pasteur, Spencer ect. Most of my mothers family live in those area and so do the Tatum's most Martins I know of are aunts who married Hairstons, Penn's ect but there are others who carry the martin name and as I said are extremely prolific.
