Re: John T. MARTIN NC
In Response To: Re: John T. MARTIN NC ()
I have news paper aricles on the Primitive Baptist Church, it originated in 1910 in Winston Salem and they even had a training school of which Rev John T Martin ran. I also have the telephone listing of where it use to be. The connection that these Martin's had with the Rev is these Martin's say that he was there cousin and I have a marriage certificate where Bessie L Martin married Burrell in 1915 in the Primitive Baptist Church in Winston Salem. This Burrell was killed in a coal mine in West Va, I also have a news paper article about that. I have been doing research for a while now and is still learning more, but I came to NC in 2003 and left in 2007 and while I was there I went to the archives, the Winston Salem library and the Stokes Co library and I did not know about the Davis Chapel until I moved and saw it on some of the death certificate, I only wish I had known. I don't proclaim to know everything about the Martin's but I have been doing it for a while now. Oh I sorry I did not tell you, the church did not last long and I just wondered what happen to Rev John T Martin. I did not find his death certificate but I found his wife, Mary Black Martin Messages In This Thread
