William Christopher was my GGgrandfather.

My dad is in his late 70s, and I have recently enbarked on a project to document the Christopher family history while the "old" generation is still around. In dad's records, I found a copy of a 1981 newspaper article from the Gadsden Times documenting Dr. Bell's trip to Gadsden to meet with the Christopher family prior to publication of his book.

I was impressed with not only the accomplishments of Dr. Bell but also with the tone of his character which came across in his words. I was hoping that he was still alive so that I could contact him. I had his address from a letter that he wrote to my aunt, and went to the internet just now to see if I could verify that the address was current. I am sorry that he has passed away. He was appearently a fine gentleman.

The newpaper article that I mentioned contained most of the information that you included from the book excerpt, but I would like to see a copy of the book. Do you know where I might get one?
