As a second year student at Fayetteville State University, I was in town attending second semester of summer school when JD Marshall, our AD asked me if I would like a job driving Dr Bell and Miss Bunnee. I took them to Ohio for a family reunion. I later drove that blue van to the NC mountains for apples. Dr Bell never spoke of his career as a Tuskeegee airmean or how he coached an entire football season without surrendering a touchdown or how his offensive formations are the foundation for all offensive coordinaters or how he was the first black all-american football player attending Ohio State. Instead he helped guide me through a time in my life where I needed it most. I would like a copy of his book and a photo to share with my children.
