I would like to correspond with descendants of the LEGGITT(s) family from Franklin County, MS; specifically from the Roxie and Kirby areas. I understand that one of my ancestors, Manda/Amanda, a former slave, had brothers and sisters by this surname, not sure which, or if it was a maiden name. Manda was brought here from KY and lived in Amite and Franklin counties as a slave on the plantation of Capt. Henry Hunt. She had a daughter named Annie WALKER before she married Deck HUNT. She lived during the timeframe of 1841-1911. I would be willing to share information. Thanks for your assistance.
