I have been researching the Martin Family for 3 years. In 1870 they lived in the Meadows in stokes county. I have found them from 1870 to 1930. It appears they moved from Stokes County to Forsyth. I am still researching however I cannot find them at all in 1860, 1850.In 1870 Cinda Martin is living in the Meadows and in 1880 Lucinda is living in the meadows. She is the head of household and have not married anyone.I cannot say that she was ever a slave, the whole family are Mulattos. If you can share any information with me that would me helpful. I married in this family and is doing the research for my husband. I have already been to Raliegh twice, there I got death certificates to relate all of the documents I have found.
