Re: Robertson & Baxter Families of MD

Barnabus doesn't appear in the 1860 Census (at least I couldn't find him), so it is possible he could be your ancestor, but there is no way for me to confirm or rule out this possibility.
He last appears in an index for the 1855 MA State Census.

Barnstable County Massachusetts 1855 Census
about Barnabas J Robinson
Given Name: Barnabas J
Surname: Robinson
Town: Falmouth
Line: 144
Dwelling/order: 8
Sex: M (Male)
Age: 27
Occupation: Mariner
Born: Massachusetts

Unless he changed his name (or his middle name was Frank), I don't think he is your ancestor. Especially, now that I know Frank's marriage record was the source for his being born in Maryland.

I checked the Maryland Marriage Index at Ancestry.com and there is no record of a marriage between a Baxter or a Robertson (using any first name). There weren't any marriage for an Eleanor Baxter listed in the index. The same for Irvin Robinson/Robertson.

There was a marriage recorded for Sarah Perrigo and Nicholas Baxter.

Maryland Marriages, 1655-1850
Name: Nicholas Baxter
Gender: Male
Marriage Date: 01 Feb 1792
Spouse: Sarah Perigo
Spouse Gender: Male
State: Maryland
County: Baltimore

They had a daughter named Elleander, but she died between 1804 and 1813. She never married.
