Lesan and E. Sloan one and the same, hmmm.

The only info my mom has is that E. Sloan died young in an accident. She never heard of Lesan.

Trudie, E. Sloan, Earle as well as Kero and John were her first cousins. Their mother Yonia Cowan(sister of my grandmother)had 5 kids, but they were all raised by her sister Emma (well now we know they are listed with Grandmother Minerva). All of their fathers are unknown to the family, and were all white, except for Trudie's dad.

I met Cousin John who lived with his father's family cook (couldn't live in the "big house"). He was really nice. He never got to go to school, b/c neither school would accept him - sad, huh? He always kept in touch with our (Black) side of the family.
