Andrew Jackson Beard was born into the Baird family in Pinson Alabama in 1849 his last name is spelled different cause he was a slave but had a white father he was not treated like a slave though he also worked at Turkey Creek at Hanby mill as a blacksmith where he learned alot of his skills after he turned 14 he chose to stay on the family far m (Baird main house was located where Pinson valley highschool stands today) after he married he moved to Centerpoint to raise his family.
