Re: Wall Family of Winston-Salem, NC
![]() In Response To: Wall Family of Winston-Salem, NC (Seventies )
Hello Seventies, Not sure about 'special" records, but I wouldn't overlook the NC death records on Ancestry.com. For example, I was able to locate the death certificate (DC) & image for a relative, Lucy (Dickens) Cherry, born in 1861 and who died in 1916. This record helped to confirm the relationship between her parents, Dr. K. (Kelford H.) Dickens and Millie Dickens, reportedly his slave mistress. See the Dickens Story at this link http://tinyurl.com/ac82lbj and a photo of Lucy. These DC's cover many who were born in the mid to late 1800's and may cover the time period for some WALL family members. NC DC for Lucy (Dickens) Cherry
Hope this is of some help, Art Thomas Seventies asked:
Are there any special records in North Carolina that would help me in assisting this family search? All help is greatly appreciated. Messages In This Thread
