While in the Store today...

Yes, the California State Lottery is up to $120,000,000.00. Yes, I took my little dollar down there and played, after all, it only takes 'one' to win. Anyway, while coloring in the little bubbles for my numbers, two young men (and I use that term very loosly) came in and must have used the 'N' word about 6 times, I just starred at them. They weren't black, and they were speaking to each other, very loudly may I add. But, it 'offended me.' Just hearing the word is offensive to me, I don't care 'who' it comes from. One of the guys looked at me, looking at them and told the other one to 'shut up'. My husband say's I'm going to get him killed by the way I act when things aren't my concern. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a nosey person, but when it's all up in my face, yes, I react. I don't care if it's by starring or what. I don't have to say a word, I got the 'gift of the *look* of my daddy and my grandmother' You know the look, and I'm proud of it, it keeps my daughter in line. What is it with this word? Why do people, especially young ones want to use it so much? I wish I had a dictionary at my side at all times for people who use it, and think it's the *thing to say.* I would break it out and start reading, they would think I was crazy of course, but, I bet the next time they saw me, they wouldn't use it again, I would probably be considered a 'dictionary thumper'.
Just sharing the day at the corner store story.

Dean
