To whom it may concern:
It was intresting to read all of your responses to my post. I elicited quite a response from you all in much the same fashion as the initial response that this website elicited from me. Hmmm... I am writing to clear a few things up & then my correspondence with this website will end, and you can all continue to go about your geneology searches in relative peace again. First of all, it is true that my first post did contain SOME anger (Some responses sounded as if I didn't realize that I felt angry; however, I am more emotionally sophisticated than that). If you all knew me & my 'off the cuff,' 'straight-shooting' communication style, you would have known to interpret some annoyance instead of some anger, but nonetheless, it could have been more tactful, so I'll give you that.

One thing about me that may interest you all is that I actually do have quite a few African American ancestors! Wow, what a disparaging remark that one you made out of that accusation! To belittle one's own race in an attempt to be a smart alec is not wize. I am proud of all of my ancestors - even the AA ones! I think that in certain ways I may be more proud of my AA ancestory than some of you who are posting these comments because rather than arguing the number of slave heads per county in the historical rual south, I CELEBRATE the accomplishments of all of my ancestors.

None of your attempts to change the topic of my first post have strayed me from my original point. And some of your responses have actually reinterated my point. For example, it wasn't three black males who were charged with the crime against the white woman in Forsyth County, IT WAS FIVE BLACK MALES AND ONE BLACK FEMALE. There were many remarks about how many black men have been wrongly accused of crimes against white women. It's kind of like some of you either hear only what you want to hear, or deny the facts of this case, or even worse you DON'T KNOW the facts of the case that you speak about. EARNEST KNOX ADMITTED HIS GUILT AND WAS GIVEN A FAIR TRIAL!!! Get that much straight. And I disagree with the person that said that even if he was guilty, he didn't deserve to die for it. I would hope that any person of any race that committed the brutal crimes that this man and his cohorts committed would deserve the death penalty in any era! Exactly who is in denial here??? One person called me a liar because I am articulate! These are not intelligent arguments, and I am disapointed at your attempts to discredit me. My anger is due to your misrespresentation of FACTS.

You all seriously need to check yourselves. I can tell that you all harbor so much denial your own selves that my correspondence with you will do no good for either of us. I hope that one day you all can see beyond race, and truely judge each person based solely on the person that they are. Goodbye. -
