I also have several Delia's in my tree - spellings vary:

Delia
Della
Idella
Neely (don't ask me why this nickname)
Delphia
Dell

First name search in HQ may not help - since she may not be HOH.
You are probably going to have to do a page by page search of census on a high speed connection

Or put it on hold till entire census is indexed. Either way - I feel for you - frustrating to know someone is there and not be able to find them!
