What Census homework have you done?

I found Will and Lula in 1920 and 1910 Waxhaw twp, Lancaster County, but not finding a Will and Lula in 1900....in 1910 Census they had a son William age 19 born abt. 1891.
In 1920 Will gives age 56, and in 1910 he still claims age 56...the closest possibility I could come up with in 1900 was a Will age 44, wife Emma (named Emaline in 1880).

In the 1920 Census Will and Lula had daughter Lula E. or C....So am wondering about that " Lula Emaline", "Emeline Lula"??
